Meals with Jesus | Enacted Grace

Our new sermon series "Meals with Jesus" kicked off with an exploration of Luke 5:27-32. We examined how Jesus' meal with Levi (Matthew) and other tax collectors demonstrated God's enacted grace. This passage challenges us to extend radical hospitality and grace to those outside our usual circles, just as Jesus did.
Takeaways:
God's grace is for everyone, especially those society deems unworthy or "sinners". We are called to be counter-cultural by practicing vulnerability and accountability. Inviting others into our spaces (homes, workplaces, social circles) is a powerful way to share God's love
As we begin this series, I encourage each of us to take up the challenge presented: to invite someone who doesn't know Jesus into our personal space over the next nine weeks. This could be a meal at home, a coffee break at work, or simply including someone new in your social group at school. Remember, it's not about having the perfect space, but about extending grace and hospitality.
Let's pray for courage and opportunities to share God's love with those around us who may not yet know Him!
